Dion DiMucci

Here are some reviews and comments about Dion DiMucci comments by Greg Herriges:
"Return Of The Wanderer"/"Fire In The Night"--Ace. Produced in the 80s by Cashman & West, the first LP features a wonderful gang reminiscence called "Mid-Town American Main Street Gang"--scorching vocals and hot sax. Great guitar work, too. The second LP, "Fire In The Night," is almost all worthwhile--notably the title song, "Fire In The Night," "Hollywood," and "Street Mama.". (If you want to lay hands on this CD, Greg recommends Midnight Records of New York.)
"Yo, Frankie!" Arista Some fluff on this CD, but for hard rockers you don't want to miss the opening track, "King Of The New York Streets" and his duet with Paul Simon, "Written On The Subway Walls."
"Bronx Blues" Columbia 26/11/91, Sony 21/11/91, Columbia 31/12/92 It's some of his old stuff here, but especially worth the listen are two singles that never clicked in the 60s, because they were so powerfully bluesy--"Two-Ton Feather" and "Spoonful," a dope-blues song.
Many thanks to Greg. Incidentally, Greg now has a web site.
