I
admit it was slightly worried when I played the first track of this album
- a doo wop version of Springsteen's If I Should Fall Behind, but Higher
Than Heaven and What's That Sound are stormers. Well worth a listen if
you can find it.
Vision Records VR-3327 1992
- If I Should Fall Behind (Springsteen) - perhaps Dion put this at the start of the CD to frighten you. I don't think this is meant to be funny but as long as you take it that way it's OK.
- Higher Than Heaven (DiMucci) - this is a stormer, a real feel-good track.
- Trying To Get Over You (Jerry Lynn Williams)- hmm, a bit of a space-filler I think, not too bad though.
- The 90's Is The 60's (Turned Upside Down) (Marshall Chapman, Gary Nicholson) - yep, another goodie.
- I Knew The Bride (When She Used To Rock And Roll) (Nick Lowe) - oh dear! Fortunately this does not set the tone for the rest of the CD.
- Street Corner Saint (The Hoochie Coo Song)
- Show Me
- One Too Many Mornings (Dylan) - Don't you just hate it when people do Dylan songs and CHANGE THE LYRICS!
- Guitar Queen (Dion DiMucci, Mark Tiernan) - this seems to be about Bonnie Raitt, pretty good too!
- What's That Sound (Dion DiMucci, Bill Tuohy) - Brilliant, a retrospective of music from the fifties onwards, Really well done. Worth buying the CD for.
