Bert Jansch and John Renbourn - Bert and John

This is stunning finger style guitar. Jansch and Renbourn have an incredible ability to weave a tapestry of sound. It is impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins - it's just plain magic. There are a couple of songs - the brilliantly detailed Soho is the jewel of the record.

Bert and John has now been re-released on Wooded Hill HILLCD8 - to make this relatively short album better value for money they have included some 'bonus' tracks:

  1. The Wagonner's Lad (Traditional arranged Bert Jansch)
  2. Lucky Thirteen
  3. In This Game
  4. Dissatisfied Blues
  5. Hole In The Cole - this is a wonderful instrumental, as I said on the Pentangle Reflection page - but it is totally out of place on Bert & John.
  6. Bells
