The re-released CD version of Quatermass
has two 'bonus' tracks on it - One Blind Mice and Punting - as far as I
know these were the A and B sides of a single. The CD contains the original
artwork albeit vastly reduced in size. Unfortunately the sound quality
on the CD isn't up to the original. The music is pretty much organ based rock
with a large helping of strings thrown in. Powerful rock numbers like Black
Sheep Of The Family contrast with the delicate sound of Entropy and the
instrumental Laughin' Tackle with it's powerful bass. Unfortunately the
group split up after their one and only album - apparently attracted by
lucrative offers from other bands and sales of the album were less than
exciting. This means that the original vinyl release is collectible and
you would expect to pay around fifty pounds for a copy.
